🌿 Agrotourism Experience – Traditional Farming & Tropical Vegetables

Take part in our agrotourism program, where you will learn firsthand about traditional food crop farming in the heart of tropical Sumatra.

If you're lucky, you’ll get the chance to plant rice the traditional way, just like generations of Indonesian farmers have done for centuries. Rice is the main staple food of Indonesia, and this experience will give you a deeper understanding of its cultural and agricultural significance.

You will also have the opportunity to plant and harvest various tropical vegetables, such as:

  • Mustard greens (sawi)

  • Spinach (bayam)

  • Water spinach (kangkung)

  • Long beans (kacang panjang)

  • Cucumbers (mentimun)

  • Tomatoes (tomat)

🌱 These activities are designed to raise awareness about:

  • Food security

  • Environmental care

  • Soil health and microorganism preservation to maintain long-term soil fertility
